Beautiful and Quiet Retreat

Amazing Pool, Incredible Views!

Beautiful home in a great location with privacy. The home is clean and updated with an amazing pool. All this while on the beach with incredible views of whales, rays and sunrises!

Absolutely amazing, one of a kind property, so much more than expected, and even better than the fabulous photos show. A/C units keep the entire casa cool and dry in the hot, somewhat humid month of July. We’ll be back for sure and are already planning our next stay,.

Perfectly Equipped House

The house was fantastic, located just north of town on a rocky beach, with amazing views. The pool and hot tub are fantastic and the house perfectly equipped.

Great Location!

Great location with beautiful sunrises. We have friends that live in Los Barriles so it was nice to have them show us all the hit spots.

We were delighted with the property. Victor, the property manager, greeted us at the airport and was kind enough to stop at the grocery store on the way in so we could pick up some essentials. We hired a cook for our first night (Norma’ s Cucina) so we could just relax and settle in. Norma is an amazing cook and so sweet and endearing (and very, very reasonable).

The outdoor space is by far the best feature of the house, with the kitchen a very close second. We were treated with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, mother and calf whales breaching the water’s surface on multiple days, as well as dolphins, rays and birds. We literally watched the whales jumping while sitting in the hot tub and drinking margaritas.

Getting to town is a short ride away on a side by side quad ATV. Be sure to have Victor reserve for you to get a great price on the rental. Los Barriles has plenty of great restaurants and everyone is very friendly and helpful. If you rent an ATV, drive up to the arroyo (dry river bed) that is 5 minutes from the house and have fun driving around then hiking to the waterfall. Also be sure to take the 20 minute trip, also by ATV, to Punta Pescadero to visit a beautiful beach and enjoy the views.

This is a great property, built for rest and relaxation with wonderful and responsive property owners.

The views from this Casa are extraordinary. Every morning you wake to the sun rise over the sea of Cortez and the sea life frolicking abound. Great location and great hot tub.

The property is amazing and is as advertised. Very clean and well stocked with anything you would need to cook. We rented ATV’s for the week and it was a short ride into town for groceries and restaurants. It was windy most days but on the few calm ones we were able to take out the kayaks and do some snorkeling at the beach right at the house. We loved the spa and went in it everyday. We also enjoyed pickleball (especially the kids) which we’d never played before. We would definitely stay here again as the house was perfect for myself, my husband, his parents and my 2 daughters (8 and 10). We all loved Los Barriles and can’t wait to return.

The home was beautiful and very well appointed in all respects. The owners were very helpful and detailed, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Beachfront location, beachfront pool with large deck area, and the Sea of Cortez is steps away where one can enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, or just a walk on miles of beach. Highly recommended for anyone considering a stay on the East Cape. Just Fabulous.

The house looked just like the pictures. Fabulous. Very comfortable there were six of us that stayed a week. Beds were extremely comfortable. Plenty of linens. Kitchen was well equipped. Enjoyed the pool. Easy access into town via ATV’s and quads. We plan on booking again next year.

The house is just amazing. I’m not sure who the Architect, Builder, Designer interior and exterior was, but the home was PICTURE PERFECT. The walls inside and out are poured with concrete. I’m from Florida so I’d stay there if a hurricane ever came. LOL. We used the kayaks to fish, snorkeled right out in front. We bought a few groceries, however there is one very close. We ate out our dinner meals, but we caught so many Trigger Fish we had them a lot as well. The bedrooms had A/C units in each one plus two split ones in the kitchen and dinning room. Fans all throughout the home. The beds were very comfortable. It was very peaceful and relaxing, just what I wanted. The owners were very gracious and responsive. Like I said, this home is just out of this world and easy to live in. The only downside was that I wish we could have stayed at least 10 or 14 days! THANK YOU AL & PAT, WE HOPE TO BE BACK…. Loved the cows all over and the laid back feeling there. La Casita Restaurant was superb! I love that part of the Country. Nice Breeze on the patio everyday and Spectacular Sunrises! Again, Superb all the way around! Than you so much for sharing your piece of paradise.

What a fantastic casa in a beautiful location. The home owners couldn’t have been more communicative and responsive to a few minor hiccups. I highly recommend this for value, location and comfort. We had a chef come and cook for us so we could enjoy more time at the house. Truly paradise. Thank you Al and Pat for your hospitality!

We spent an amazing 9 days at this property.

Great things:
Kitchen –  It is well designed with amazing stove and layout. You have every thing you need in the kitchen to host and cook a meal for many.
Pool – I am not sure there is a better pool in Los Barrilles. The Hot Tub is a great amenity to have. It only takes a short time to heat up.
Access to Town – You are only a very short 5 minute drive to town, if that. But don’t plan on walking. It would be a long one. Our favorite beach bar was even closer.
AC – every bedroom has great AC and a ceiling fan. The main house does too, but we just opted to leave doors open and fans running.
Photos on Listing – This house is well photographed and you get what you see in the photos. Hosts-If you have any questions, they were so quick to respond.

Not So Great Things:
The Beach – While there is some sand, it not a great beach to go swimming at. In fact, it is all rock. But that being said, the snorkeling is great in front of house. And if you want a good beach, it is only a few minutes drive.

As you can see, we did not have many negatives on the home. Because there are not any! We will no doubt be back to stay at this amazing home.

Perfect in so many ways, a must experience to fully appreciate.

We’ve been staying at Pat and Al’s for the last 6 years and it gets better every time. They are such wonderful people to work with and their home has quickly become our home away from home. The improvements they have made (an awesome kitchen update this year) are amazing and we find it harder and harder to go home. As always, Victor (the property manager) is available for any needs we have while there. We love and enjoy the peaceful tranquility we have in Los Barriles, especially at Brisa Del Mar. As always we will be back again!

Pat & Al, Thank you once again for an amazing stay in LB. We feel like we “come home” each time we enter the door. The house is so perfect in every way and you guys are great hosts! We are blessed to travel a lot but LB and your house is where our hearts are! Looking forward to many, many more stays in your wonderful home. Best to both of you.

We have stayed at this gorgeous property three times now and would love to return next year. The patio is the best we’ve found in Los B. It’s expansive, beautifully designed and well­ maintained. This year revealed a brand new kitchen as well as a redesigned master bath. It’s an excellent remodel. We even cooked this year (well, we cooked breakfast, at least) because the new kitchen is so inviting.

During our second week, the water stopped flowing in the late afternoon, the tank was empty and meter wasn’t running. We called Victor and he had everything back to normal when we returned from dinner. You never know how long something like that will take in Mexico so we were thrilled (and impressed) that the problem was solved so quickly!

The hosts of this dreamy house are quick to respond to any questions you might have before your stay and were great about altering our reservation by one day before we arrived.

If you want a relaxing, classy, delightful casa to enjoy right on the beach, this is it!

This is a very nice, well-maintained home with its best feature being its amazing patio with gorgeous views. It has a unique bar in the kitchen against a curved window, which allows ocean viewing (and whale watching) while protected from the elements. We had a rough start to our stay and some house issues, which were immediately and cheerfully resolved by “Victor.”

This villa was perfect for us. It has a huge amount of outdoor space with many lawn chairs to accommodate. The weather was great every day so we spent most of our time outside around the pool. We snorkeled right in front and saw an array offish. We built a bonfire on the beach one evening. We kayaked, played pickleball near by, cooked many meals and had a fabulous Christmas. All good…better…best!

There are so many positive things to say about this home that I don’t know where to begin. The location from town was ideal, providing a sense of privacy with accessibility to services, stores, and activities. The house itself is beautiful and exceeds all expectations created by the photos. Water temperature was surprisingly warm for early December and while entry into the ocean from directly behind the property was not necessarily easy, it was completely manageable with respect to timing for high tide and shorebreak. The rocky entry was well worth it as the snorkeling behind the house was amazing and the reefs pristine, attracting a multitude of tropical fish, rays, and turtles. We even saw whales arcing remarkably close to shore. The pickleball court, Tres Palapas, was a short walk from the house and provided wonderful afternoon entertainment for some of our family members as well as delicious and nutritious smoothies, salads, and fresh juices. We originally planned this excursion as a kiting vacation but unfortunately only had one day of wind, so having a wonderful home to spend time at ended up being critical to the overall success of this trip.

4 of us stayed here for thanksgiving and this property is first rate. the pool and spa and relaxing and wonderful the bed mattresses are the most comfortable I’ve slept in on a vacation anywhere. every room has a view of the beach. and the internet and tv was flawless. close to town as well to get around. you will love your stay here and the owners and manager are very accommodating!

The house, outdoor area, and view is spectacular! This property perfectly matches the description and did not disappoint. The updated kitchen is beautiful. We mostly enjoyed the outdoor area which is spacious and a perfect place to hangout and relax. It was quite windy a few days we were there and the hot tub came in handy to continue to enjoy the outside. We were able to enjoy the kayaks a couple times when the sea calmed down and it was such an amazing experience.

The property is perfectly represented-no surprises or disappointments! Thanks to Al and Pat for sharing their beautiful place-it was a highlight of our time in Baja!

We had a great 1 week stay with our two sons and their significant others – 6 adults. The home was a great fit and really beautiful, especially the patio and pool area. Also, we were the first to enjoy the new expanded kitchen. It’s really nice with granite counters, nice appliances, full stock of cookware and plenty of space. We also found the snorkeling to be quite good at the rock pile piers just out the back. Thanks for a great stay!

This house includes all the comforts you need for enjoying your stay in Los Barriles. If the beautiful pool doesn’t cool you down enough there is an AC in every room. The house was very clean upon our arrival and the pool is maintained on a continuous basis. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. We’ll be back.

Great place, really enjoyed and a beautiful home. well stocked with all the creature comforts to cook and enjoy and can’t wait to go back again soon!

With the addition of the pool, spa and upper deck before our last stay I don’t know how it could get better. This is probably the most comfortable home to spend time in the wonderful little town of Los Barriles. A quiet setting right on the beach with kayaks to cruise the sea on those glass water days or the pool to chill out in. And if that isn’t enough, take in the amazing sunrise front and center with your coffee on the edge of the beach or star gaze on the patio or upper deck.

WOW! As I said it doesn’t get any better. I take that back. It gets better every year!! Thanks Pat & Al for another relaxing stay at your wonderful home.

This is at least our fifth stay at this wonderful home. It gets better and better every year… even though it started out perfect in the beginning! The owners have added a pool and spa; a rooftop terrace; and soon will have a remodeled kitchen. You can snorkel right in front of the house and the addition of kayaks makes exploring the mostly calm sea easy. The home is impeccably maintained and has EVERYTHING you need. It is located close to town (a five minute drive or an hour walk) on a quiet beachfront street in a quiet neighborhood. The owners are wonderful to work with and very responsive to requests. Their property manager, Victor, is amazing and can transfer you to/from the airport. We travel ALOT and this is the only location and house we come back to each year. In short, this is paradise.

This was our second stay at this beautiful property. Last year, there were four of us–this year we were five in number. The house is spacious, clean, comfortable, and unique in appearance (in a very positive way!) One of the best features of this gorgeous place is the expansive patio. We spent a lot of time relaxing from one end of it to the other. It’s right on the beach but still private and quiet. The house is light-filled with lots of windows and sliding doors. And the hot tub is BIG–plenty of room to hang out and count shooting stars in the Baja night sky. Heaven! We hope to return again next year. Highly recommend shedding your stress and kicking back at this beautiful home.

This property exceeded our expectations, the ocean/beachfront provided spectacular views, sunrise, moon halos, sound of waves. Fires on the beach were fantastic. We saw whales, dolphins, fish jumping and birds as we walked outside on the patio. It’s very windy in Los Barriles, and the hot tub was a welcome retreat. We made use of the kayaks and caught a large fish right offshore in front of house. We took the fish to La Casita restaurant (amazing food) for a gourmet meal. The property is within walking distance to the Pickle Ball resort which astonished us with the 5-star meals and great entertainment. When we had trouble with the hot tub, we contacted the owner and he had someone come out to fix it immediately. Victor, the property manager, was very eager to help and went out of his way by taking a rented fishing rod back to the tackle shop as it was closed the day we left. Each bedroom was large, and afforded privacy, bedrooms also had views and separate terraces. The location was great for relaxation and was very private, but you do need a quad or car for the short ride to town. The neighbourhood was lovely and the people were very friendly, and we felt safe. Los Barriles is well situated for day trips to Totos Santos, Punta Pescadero and Caho San Jose. Thank you, Al and Pat, we really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home.
